Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 30 August 2026

These terms apply to the sale of tickets to UnlocFinland, held at Rio Live in Oulu, Finland on February 22–24, 2027. Seller: UnlocFinland Oy, business ID 3645565-6, Sorsatie 29, 90150 Oulu, Finland. Contact: hello@unlocfinland.com

1. Scope and organiser

These terms govern ticket purchases and attendance at UnlocFinland ("the event"), organised by UnlocFinland Oy ("we", "the organiser"). By buying a ticket or requesting an invoice you accept these terms. The event takes place at Rio Live, Oulu, Finland, on February 22–24, 2027.

Registered address: Sorsatie 29, 90150 Oulu, Finland. Business ID (Y-tunnus): 3645565-6.

2. Tickets and pricing

Early Bird tickets cost EUR 790 per ticket and are available until 30 November 2026. Late tickets cost EUR 990 per ticket from 1 December 2026 onwards. All prices are exclusive of VAT; Finnish VAT of 25.5% is added where applicable and shown before payment.

A ticket is personal but transferable to another attendee as described in section 5.

One ticket includes:

  • Welcome drinks
  • Both conference days and all sessions across the tracks
  • Coffee breaks throughout both days
  • Lunch on both days
  • The closing dinner with speakers and attendees

3. Group bookings and codes

Buying several tickets in one order places them all on one card payment. Attendee names and details are submitted during registration, and may be corrected at the latest seven days before the event.

Sponsor, partner and community codes are applied at checkout. Codes are valid only for their stated period and purpose and may not be resold.

4. Payment

Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your order is confirmed once payment succeeds and we have sent you a confirmation email; the confirmation email is your proof of purchase.

For invoiced orders, the invoice is payable within 14 days of the invoice date. Late payments accrue statutory interest under the Finnish Interest Act. If payment is not received by the due date, or at the latest before the event begins, we may release the reserved seats and cancel the order.

5. Cancellations, refunds, name changes and payment disputes

Tickets are non-refundable. Once an order is confirmed, the ticket fee is not returned if you cannot attend.

Names can be changed free of charge up to seven days before the event by emailing us with the order reference and the new attendee's details. Unused tickets are not refunded and cannot be carried over to a future edition of the event.

If you believe a card payment was made in error, contact us at hello@unlocfinland.com before initiating a dispute or chargeback with your card issuer. We will review the case and, if a refund is warranted, process it directly. This is faster and less expensive for both parties.

This does not affect statutory rights that cannot be waived under Finnish consumer law.

6. Payment disputes and chargebacks

If a card payment is disputed through the card issuer, Stripe will notify us. We will respond to the dispute using the registration details, confirmation email, Stripe receipt and these terms as evidence.

We reserve the right to charge a dispute response fee if we incur costs in defending a dispute that is not resolved in our favour.

Chargebacks that are resolved in our favour do not entitle the buyer to a refund beyond the reversal of the dispute. Chargebacks resolved in the buyer's favour will be treated as a cancellation under section 5.

7. Program changes and force majeure

Speakers, sessions, timings and the running order may change. We may replace announced content with content of equivalent quality and subject matter; such changes do not entitle you to a refund.

If the event is postponed, valid tickets transfer to the new date. If we cancel the event, we refund the ticket fees paid. Our liability in either case is limited to the ticket price and does not extend to travel, accommodation or other costs.

Obligations on both sides are suspended for the duration of a force majeure event, including strikes, epidemics, decisions by authorities, loss of the venue, failures of essential infrastructure and extreme weather.

8. Photography and filming

Sessions, breaks and social moments at the event may be photographed and filmed, and the material may be used in UnlocFinland communications and marketing. If you prefer not to appear, tell us in advance by email or on site and we will not use material in which you are identifiable. You can also ask us later to remove specific images.

9. Attendee conduct

We expect respectful, professional behaviour towards other attendees, speakers, venue staff and organisers. We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who behaves unlawfully, harasses others or endangers the safety of the event, without refund.

10. Travel, accommodation and insurance

You arrange and pay for your own travel, accommodation and insurance. We recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation, as tickets are non-refundable. Visa invitation letters are available on request for confirmed ticket holders.

11. Liability

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profit or lost working time. Our total liability in connection with a ticket is limited to the ticket price paid. Nothing in these terms limits liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or rights that cannot be waived under Finnish consumer law.

12. Personal data

We process registration and order data as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Read the Privacy Policy

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Consumers may bring a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board or contact the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (kkv.fi) before court proceedings. Other disputes are settled by the District Court of Oulu.

14. Changes to these terms

The version of these terms in force at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. We may update these terms for future sales; the "Last updated" date above shows the current version.
